By Adnan Shafi, KASHMIR: Most of the leaders/scholars of the world are confessing the same thing that we may have to live with Corona in the for many years, so the world should be mentally prepared for the fact that there is no other option. Until the vaccine is ready, you will have to live a life of lunacy by washing your hands over and over and applying sanitizers and masks however on the other hand washing hands is favorable I feel.
It is a unique life too and I ratify that. People are not able to shake hands or hug anyone. Already there is a distance of several feet between the worshipers in the mosques. Old people and children are not permitted to go to mosques. Eid is coming. It is obligatory to hug and shake hands on Eid. Eid does not look like Eid without it. This time shaking hands and hugging is vetoed, OMG may Allah have mercy upon us .so what kind of Eid will this be? The children are already asking how they will celebrate Eid and here in my village, the question is being asked by small kids when will be the Eid? Here sometimes we notice lockdown, sometimes not.
It is like a dilemma in everyone’s psyche that will they be able to go out of the house? Shall they offer Eid prayers? shall they be allowed to shake hands and hug?
All this is being done to deter the spread of Corona but where is corona? this thing I couldn’t comprehend, yet what this corona is out of everyone’s psyche in Kashmir. The people are also suffering from distinct disorders. If they don’t obey the government, they get clasped. If they do, still they get further into the muck of psychological issues. Every coming day is bringing more hindrances than before. The markets sometimes are open/and sometimes close, but the prosperity and elation on the countenances of the people have dwindled.
Every one craves to reach their fate without clashing with each other for the fear of anonymous fear and blind virus. People who live together, if anyone of them gets infected, every member of the family gets himself divorced. Most of his family members are hooked in weird anguish. Many people are leaving their homes so that the streets or neighborhoods where Corona came out can infect them handily. There is such chaos that Allah knows the best.
These are the same people who used to ask each other till today / 20 days before, Dude! tell me, is there anyone close to you or someone you know? (corona infected)?? This is an absurdity. Whether Corona is a disease or not. but we have to take care of ourselves. There were some cases in our neighborhood. So-and-so, they didn’t die of the corona. First off they came positive, and after some days, they came negative. Their families did not get infected by the virus even being in touch ?? Bizzarr ..isn’t it? but the truth. It is also evidence that the government has shifted everyone to quarantine. The houses are latched. Those who used to make fun of it till yesterday now wear masks on their faces while sleeping and eating, or coming out of their houses.Bizzare .isnt it? But the truth
And doubtless, Man is very skeptical. He does not believe in anything until he notices it with his own eyes or someone very close to him tells it to him. He remains deluded. Till a few days ago, the number of corona cases in Kashmir was something less, then unexpectedly from every village one or two cases were recorded, and the number of cases got surged up but after that, a few days more and more cases appeared. Most people explain it is a very irksome situation and I do feel so, coz better is to safeguard ourselves then we will conclude finally what entirely this corona is.
Meanwhile, the government wants people to relax. She expects the people to beat this war. This war by corona has to be battled by the people themselves, so they can win. If the government imposes lockdown today, people will go hungry and I agree yes they will, however when the government softens the lockdown, then people do not take it seriously and go out to the bazaars to play games or roam haphazardly. I ask you why? This attitude is also not accurate. Until the number of cases decreases or the vaccine is invented or the capacity for corona testing in Kashmir increases, we will not be able to return to a normal life or a carefree life.
I have recounted this all in my previous articles that nature has shown mercy to the world If instead of the corona, It would have been another hazardous virus,(very lethal ) what could we do. hence we should be grateful for nature and not to the rampant feral bulls who then tear the strings on the announcement of relaxation in lockdown. Now it’s looking like the last Eid of life(Allah knows) and the only opportunity that I feel should not be got out of our hands, the door to heaven with the grace of Allah must be opened for all Muslims.
So with all this, I think we should agree that as soon as Corona is over, we should nay board a plane, and get together we should travel lonely on horses and mules or in distinct safe vehicles Before this pandemic, everyone was in a ferocious cycle of self-aggrandizement and all human beings were in an unnatural world of narcissism. It seems the funeral of humanity has just emerged. Human corpses are surging Corona has bestowed us an opportunity to reckon and recognize the way in life, we should take advantage of this opportunity and invariably do what is needed for Almighty Allah.
If the Coronavirus had not spread in the world, man would never have known how capitalism is sucking its blood. Now that Corona has taught us all these lessons, we should be grateful for this naive and tiny mouth virus. And those Muslims who have lost their lives to this disease should be convinced with being called martyrs! And the mercy of Allah is always upon them.
