Karnali River floods reached dangerous levels


N24 Correspondent, DHANGADHI:- The flood of the Karnali river has exceeded the danger level.

According to the District Administration Office, Kailali, the river level exceeded 11 meters as per the measurements taken at the Chisapani Flood Measurement Center on Tuesday morning.

Shivraj Joshi, information officer of the administration office, said that the water level in the river had crossed the danger level and reached 11 meters. According to him, 10 meters of water level in Karnali is considered as an alert level and 10.80 meters is considered as a danger level.

Stating that the water level in the river is continuing to rise due to continuous rains, Information Officer Joshi urged the residents of the coastal area to be vigilant.

He also informed that security personnel have been mobilized for relief and rescue in the affected areas.
