Judicial Council expels high court judge Saha

KATHMANDU:- A meeting of the Judicial Council today has decided to expel Judge serving at Butwal Bench of High Court Tulsipur, Renuka Saha.
A meeting presided over by Acting Chief Justice Deepak Kumar Karki decided to expel Judge Saha.
Judicial Council Spokesperson Man Bahadur Karki informed that Judge Saha was relieved of the post for not meeting qualifications.
Renuka, daughter of former chief justice Ramkumar Prasad Saha, had long been serving at Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) and she was not qualified to become Judge, the Council sources said.
The meeting has decided to publish a seven-day notice for fulfilling vacant post of the judge. The notice will be published on coming Monday as per the council decision.
