Jimmy Fallon and Sting Join Forces for a Hilarious Parody of the Singer's 'Walking On the Moon'

(People.com):

What’s better than one Sting? Two Stings on the moon!

On Friday night’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the music legend and former Police frontman joins host Jimmy Fallon for a silly spin on his hit, “Walking on the Moon,” which the show has already dropped on its YouTube channel.

In the clip, Fallon, 44, appears dressed as Sting, 67, sporting his signature silvery-blonde hair. The two wear matching astronaut costumes as they declare in the chorus, “We’re two Stings on the moon.”

At one point during the parody, the pair take a break from singing to exchange jokes about seeing “Uranus” while floating in outer space.

On Wednesday, Sting (whose real name is Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner) announced his upcoming 16-date Las Vegas residency, Sin City for Sting: My Songs, at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

A press release said the show will feature a “compendium” of Sting’s legendary catalog, with “dynamic, visual references to some of his most iconic videos and inspirations.”

Tickets start at $59 and will go on sale to the general public May 3, with the first show kicking off in May 2020.

Sting will also release a new album of the same name on May 24, followed by a European tour.

My Songs will include new takes on classics like “Fields of Gold,” “Message in a Bottle” and “Every Breath You Take.”

“Some of them reconstructed, some of them refitted, some of them reframed, but all of them with a contemporary focus,” the singer wrote on his website.

The release comes one year after Sting teamed up with Shaggy for the island-influenced record 44/876, which won a Grammy for best reggae album.
