POKHARA: Israel ambassador to Nepal Benny Omer said Israel would help in Nepal’s agriculture sector.
Nepal could learn much from Israel’s progress in agriculture, he said referring to a training centre opened by India following agriculture system of Israel.
“We are ready to assist in opening such a training centre in Nepal if Nepal feels it necessary,” he said at a programme with the theme of trade cooperation between Nepal and Israel organised here on Tuesday by the Pokhara Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Stating approximately 500 Nepalis go to Israel to learn agriculture every year, he praised progress and dedication of the returnees in agriculture in Nepal. He also suggested agricultural modernisation in raising Nepal’s economy.
On the occasion, acting president of the CCI, Pokhara, Narayan Koirala lauded the progress of Nepali returnees from jobs in Israel in agriculture and domestic area back in Nepal
