London Fashion House and GigExtra are jointly organizing “International Nepal Fashion Week 2012” from December 23 to December 30 in London including Camden Town, Aldershot, Greenwich and Foxton.
Releasing a press statement, the organizers have said that the main objective of the Fashion Week is to promote the Nepali cultures and traditional dresses in the international community. “The fashion show is going to be organized not only to sell the Nepali dress designed by the Nepali designers but to promote their creation in the international market by making it more professional,” reads the press note.
The concept was brought forward by the Nepali young reputed fashion entrepreneur Manisha Dangol Shrestha who is living in UK for last one decade.
Some sum of money collected from the fashion show will be donated to a charity named Music For Children.
London Fashion House, which is promoting the typical Nepali dress Dhaka in UK, has made its use mandatory during the fashion week also. The dress-up designed by Suvechha Bhadel, Bishwo Gautam, Suruchutra Shakya, Punam Rai along with other recognized fashion designers will be showcased during the Fashion Week. Male and Female models from Nepal and London will walk in the ramp during the Fashion Week.
