Industry Minister Gajendra Hamal announces his resignation

"I used my discretion and thought a lot about why I got into a dispute. I will resign today, 'he said.

By Ranjana Thapa Magar, KATHMANDU:- Newly appointed Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Gajendra Bahadur Hamal has announced his resignation.

Hamal, who has been accusing Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Jabara of becoming a minister from his quota, has said that he will submit his resignation to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba today.

“I used my discretion and thought a lot about why I got into a dispute. I will resign today, ‘he said.

He is the relative of Chief Justice Rana as he is close to Deuba.

Rana had a deal for two ministers after Deuba became the prime minister on July 13 as per the order of the Supreme Court. According to ruling party leaders, he had asked for a minister of forest and environment and industry, commerce, and supplies.

Now, Hamal has become the Minister of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies. According to the leaders of the ruling party, this will make it clear that he has become a minister in Rana’s quota.
