Incumbent govt responsible towards public: Minister Sharma


MAKWANPUR:- Minister for Finance and CPN (Maoist Centre) leader Janardan Sharma assured that the incumbent coalition government was responsible towards the public.
At an event organized by the youth wing of the party, Young Communist League (YCL) Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City’s first town convention on Sunday, Minister Sharma said, “Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba led government is working to ensure the welfare of the people.”
While the economy was experiencing negative growth in the country, the recent series of natural disaster had further added to complexity to the economic growth, Sharma said.
The post-monsoon rain-triggered flood, landslide and inundation resulted in huge agricultural loss- mainly the loss of paddy crops negatively impacted the lives of farmers, he said, mentioning that agriculture sector contributes around seven per cent for the country’s GDP.
The Minister said that the incumbent government attempted to address the issues relating to youth, women, students, children, conflict-injured, physically-challenged, martyrs’ families and impoverished people through the replacement bill.
According to him, the government has recently introduced a relief packages for the farmers whose crops were damaged in the recent disasters. Those farmers will be benefited with government’s relief schemes, he assured.
