KATHMANDU: Minister for Information and Communications, Raj Kishor Yadav, has said he was committed to making all media inclusive.
At a meeting with the delegation of Nepal National Employees’ Organization of the National News Agency (RSS), Minister Yadav said as the issue of inclusion was a national agenda, the agencies to provide information should be independent and fair. However, concerted efforts was needed to this regard, he stressed.
“Government is committed to professionalism and impartiality of the state-run media which are the sources of information to the people,” Minister Yadav said, making it clear that he had not interfered with the state-run media.
He pointed out the need of making effective the role of state-run media as the foreign news agencies play to inform public about government activities.
Moreover, he assured the delegation of solving all sorts of problems in the RSS, and would leave no stone unturned to implement the Working Journalists’ Act in practice.
According to him, no working journalist would be deprived of the facilities. RSS
