ICC world cup league two: Oman climbs to top after defeating USA


KATHMANDU: Oman defeated USA by 92 runs to climb to the top of the points table in the ICC world cup league two series. Oman won all its four matches in the tri-series held in Kathmandu.
Oman remains in the top with 16 points in 10 games so far. USA is in the second position of the league.
In the match held today at the TU Cricket ground in Kirtipur, put into bat after losing the toss, Oman scored 276 runs in 50 overs at the loss of 6 wickets.
In reply, the USA lost all its wickets with only 184 runs on the board in 39.1 overs.
Oman remained undefeated in the series with two wins each against host Nepal and the USA. The final match of the series is taking place between Nepal and the USA on Wednesday.
So far, Nepal has collected two points with one win and two losses in three games. Both the defeats were against Oman in the current series.
Nepal’s first win was against the USA, which it defeated by 35 runs.
