The Hindi film industry female actors have been a fan of size zero figure for long, but the new Bollywood actor Huma Qureshi, who is known for her unconventional choices, says she is comfortably in love with her curves.
Time and again the actor has emphasised that she is comfortable with her body and the way she looks. Earlier in an interview to a publication she had said, “Look at Meena Kumari and Madhubala. Did they worry about weight issues? I follow the old school of acting where your craft is more important than your weight. I’d like to applaud Vidya Balan for not succumbing to the trend of size-zero.”
The actor, who featured in Gangs of Wasseypur, Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana and Ek Thi Daayan will be seen in and Dedh Ishqiya, Shorts and D-Day.
Huma wishes to be an actor with personality than be a hollow size zero.
“Yes, we may have certain ideas or notions about size zero and all. But today there are so many female actors who are curvier and they all are doing very well for themselves. And I believe that it’s high time we started looking at individual beautiful people rather than fit them into the same box,” she said recently in an interview to an online portal.
