N24 Correspondent, KATHMANDU:- Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the dissolution of the House of Representatives is a threat to democracy in the country.
At a press conference held by the opposition on Thursday, he said that the president had rejected his claim against the prime minister with the signatures of 149 lawmakers and attacked democratic values.
Stating that the constitution itself is in crisis due to the arrogance and arbitrary decision of the prime minister, Deuba said that the prime minister has a tendency to govern through ordinances and control the courts, constitutional bodies, and state machinery.
“The prime minister has taken irresponsible steps to protect the people from the Corona epidemic by creating a situation where the first vaccinated people do not get the second vaccine and do nothing to protect lives and property from natural disasters like floods, landslides, and inundation,” he said.
Stating that they are struggling to overcome the challenge created by the Prime Minister, Deuba said that they will mobilize the people if necessary.
