RUPANDEHI: Hotel and restaurant entrepreneurs in Butwal have demanded permission from the administration to continue service at night time as well. They have been incurring a big loss due to the government ordering closure of the market post 10 pm reasoning security, they complained at the 19th general assembly of the Hotel and Restaurant Entrepreneurs Association (HREA), Rupandehi here Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, Butwal sub metropolitan city mayor Shiva Raj Subedi said the sub metropolis had made a master-plan to develop tourism in the city, while founding chairperson of the HREA Madhav Nepal stressed the need for upgrading hotels.
Likewise, Baburam Panthi, chairperson of Butwal sub-metropolitan committee of Nepal Community Party expressed the belief that development of the city would take a stride with the operation of an international airport and Buddha circuit.
Mahendra Shrestha, senior president of the Federation of Hotel Entrepreneurs of State 5 and chairperson of the HREA Samundra GC asked the government to create an environment conducive for investment in hotel sector.
