Home Ministry instructs to confirm truth of Darchula incident

KATHMANDU:- The Ministry of Home Affairs has said that concerned authorities were already directed to confirm the reality of Darchula incident in which a Nepali youth Jaya Singh Dhami was killed after falling into swollen Mahakali River on Friday.

The Ministry said that its serious attention was drawn regarding the news disseminated in the media about the death of Dhami after falling into the river when the Indian SSB force’s personnel cut off the tuin (wire bridge) while crossing the river.

Spokesperson at the Ministry Phanindra Mani Pokharel expressed grief over the incident while adding that the local administration and security bodies were instructed to confirm the reality of the issue.

Likewise, the Ministry has also urged the media to not carry on the fabricated news to create illusion without confirming the objectivity.
