KATHMANDU: Ceremonial President Dr Ram Baran Yadav has appealed the top guns of the major three parties to create an environment to draft statute within May 28 deadline. The appeal goes out to Congress, CPN-Maoist and CPN.UML which have been told to focus on peace process and statute drafting by utilizing the limited time during the meeting with the top brass at Shital Niwas on Wednesday morning. Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, NC President Sushil Koirala and UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal were present at the meeting. During the meeting, the leaders informed the president that they are committed to move ahead forging consensus, Khanal said. The calendar of events of constitution drafting has been affected time and again due to the misunderstanding among the political parties.
