Govt on the anvil for allocating funds to Prachanda’s son

KATHMANDU: The incumbent government has once again landed on the anvil and handed down the hammer to Nepali Congress by allocating Rs 20 million to a team of Mt. Everest expedition led by Maoist Chairman Prachanda’s son Sameer Dahal.

Chitwan chapter of the NC took to streets on Saturday morning claiming that the government had not right to empty the state coffers for nourishing the bigwigs and their sons from the tax payer’s money.

NC cadres blocked the East West Highway for half an hour claiming that it was just a warning and warned that it will bring in stern measures to protest if the government did not roll back its decision.

Friday’s cabinet meeting had allocated the amount to the expedition team for the Lumbini-Mt. Everest Peace Walk.
