N24 Staff Writer, KATHMANDU: According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), the price of gold sets another new record in the domestic bullion market on Wednesday.
The price of fine gold has reached Rs. 94,000 per tola, which shows tremendous increase in price of the yellow metal recorded in Nepal. The price of fine gold increased by Rs. 1,300 per tola today, which was traded at Rs. 92,700 per tola yesterday.
Likewise, price of Tejabi gold is marked at NRs 93,560 per tola.
Followed by, silver is marked at NRs 1,135 per tola, after a rise by Rs. 95 per tola.
According to Federation President Mohan Kumar Sunar, the price of the yellow metal and silver has increased in the domestic market in line with spike in its price in the international market. The price of gold has reached 1,868.45 US Dollars per ounce in the international market today.
Further he stated that, the price of gold has also increased as the investors are attracted more towards gold compared to other areas.
Likewise, The Federation also stated that,”The transaction in the Nepali market has reduced close to nil mainly due to the impact of COVID-19 pandemic”. Adding that gold and silver traders throughout the country have reported to him that the sale of gold has slumped drastically.
