DHANGADHI: On Sunday, a 31-year old woman alleged that the three volunteers at the quarantine facility set up at Shahid Smriti Secondary School, Lamkichuha Municipality-1 in Kailali raped her at midnight.
Police said all three people were arrested earlier on Sunday night. Arrestees have been identified as Kishor Pariyar, 20, Laxman BK, 20, and Sarjan BK, 18.
However, Lamkichuha Municipality-1 stopped all its services from Monday after locals bombarded the ward office and attacked the local representatives and ward staff verbally for incompetent safety in the facility. Locals stated that they got more furious after the case was trying to be hidden.
The ward office said in the issued statement that all the services have been decided to stop temporarily justifying that the protestors damaged the office and the ward representatives and staffers are under security hazards. The services will be stopped until the criminal face trial and security of all ward staffers are insured.
“The accused volunteers had gone to quarantine facility by themselves and were not deployed by the ward office” stated by ward office.
