From Malaika to Anmol at the Sikkim Film Festival


KATHMANDU:- The Sikkim Government of India is planning to organize a ‘Sikkim Global Film Festival’ in the capital Gangtok from December 10 to 14 (December 24 to 28) to promote film tourism, which has been hit hard by the Corona epidemic. The Sikkim Film Promotion Board has stated that along with Bollywood, Nepal’s star actors will also be present at the festival.

The board released a poster on social media on Sunday stating that actress Malaika Arora from Bollywood, actor Arijit Dutta, directors Sanjay Puran Singh, Priyadarshan, Abhinav Kashyap, Ananta Mahadevan and others will be present at the festival. The biggest picture in the poster is of Malika. She has been named as a ‘Star Celebrity and Campaigner’.

The poster features Bhuvan KC, Anmol KC, Dayahang Rai, Namrata Shrestha, Aditi Budhathoki, Vinay Shrestha, Shivani Gupta and others from Nepal. Bhuvan KC had returned to Sikkim only a few days ago. After the Sikkim government promised to give money.
According to the Sikkim Film Promotion Board, Nepali and Bollywood films shot in Sikkim will also be screened at the festival. Nepali films including ‘Signo, Jar, Katha’ will be screened at the festival. Along with the Bollywood films ‘Jewel Thief’, ‘Yariyan’ and ‘Karib Karib Singal’, the Nepali film ‘Pahuna’ made by Priyanka Chopra will also be screened, according to the poster released by the board.
