
KATHMANDU:- Concerned authorities have monitored four mosques in the capital today. Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Bidya Sundar Shakya, Muslim Commission chair Samim Miya Ansari, Human Rights Commission member Mohana Ansari , Deputy Inspector General of Police Bishwa Raj Pokharel joined a team that monitored Ratnapark-based Nepali Jame Mosque, Kasmiri Mosque and Mosques at Sundhara and Swayambhu in the capital today.
The authority has shared that the mosques were monitored to see if they were over populated owing to threat of COVID-19 outbreak.
Mayor Shakya shared that these mosques were not found overpopulated and only few officials and workers were found in these mosques.
They have further appealed the mosques authority to inform police or respective ward offices if any new entrants arrived, shakya added.
