Four injured in dog bite in Humla, Western Nepal

HUMLA: Four persons were injured after being bitten by a rabid dog in Dandafaya of ward no. 7 in Samkot rural municipality, Western Nepal. The incident took place on Saturday morning when the dog bit three persons in Okhen village and another child on Friday, according to locals.
The injured are Sangita Shahi,27, Bageswari Singh,32, ten-year-old Sumitra Singh and eight-year-old Janmajaya Raj Shahi, according to local resident Nanda Shahi. The injured are undergoing treatment at the district hospital in Humla.
The rabid dog has been caught by the locals. It may be noted that an epidemic of rabies had spread in ward no. 7 of the rural municipality in last month of March.
