DHANGADHI:- Former Prime Minister and Chairman of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Prachanda-Nepal faction Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that achievements of democratic republic, federalism and inclusiveness obtained through the Constituent Assembly (CA) would not be ceased at anyone’s whim.
At a protest rally organised by the party against the dissolution of House of Representatives (HoR) in Dhangadhi on Saturday, the former PM said that the history cannot reverse and added that the people should not be worried for the defense of the achievements. He argued that the NCP suffered as the prime minister did not accept the recommendations given by the party for its smooth functioning. Suggesting the government not to cover the incidents of corruption, Chairman Nepal stressed for effective treatment of coronavirus patients and maintain good governance in the country. He also claimed that 300 central committee members among 441 are with the Prachanda-Nepal faction.
On the occasion, leader Nepal said that citizens are in favour of restoration of HoR and democracy. Also speaking at the same programme, Chairman of NCP and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ said that they were serious in safeguarding the country’s politics from plunging into crisis. Prachanda said that he was prideful of people’s uprising to defeat the risk of regression. He argued that the PM made mistake by dissolving the HoR.
“The House has not dissolved, only the government is dissolved,” he argued. NCP standing committee member and the party’s Sudur Paschim Province In-charge Bhim Rawal said that dissolution of the HoR was disrespect to the people’s mandate obtained by the NCP for five years. NCP central committee member and the Chief Minister of Sudur Paschim Trilochan Bhatta, NCP’s province chairman Bhanubhakta Jaishi, leader Khagaraj Bhatta and others expressed their opinion against the HoR dissolution.
