N24 Correspondent, KATHMANDU:- Former MP Ichchha Raj Tamang has been arrested. Chief of the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) Dhirat Pratap Singh said that Tamang, who is also the chairman of the Civil Cooperative, was arrested for investigating the banking malpractice case.
According to him, a complaint has been lodged with the CIB alleging fraud of Rs 460 million through cooperatives. Tamang is also accused of cheating by showing attractive offers including lottery and home loan and investing the money of the cooperative in a private firm.
