Foreign employment director killed in road accident


KATHMANDU: Two persons including Executive Director of Foreign Employment Promotion Development Board (FEPDB) died in a road accident at Judikhet along Kulekhani-Bhimfedi road section this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Sthaneshwor Devkota, Executive Director at the FEPDB and identity of another deceased has not been ascertained yet.

The accident took place when a van (Ba 8 Cha 4618) heading towards Chandranigahapur of Rautahat district from Kathmandu fell some 200 meters off the road, according to the District Police Office, Makawanpur.

Both the deceased died on way to hospital for treatment.

Driver Ram Kumar Tamang was also critically injured in the accident, has been referred to Kathmandu from Hetauda Hospital for further treatment, said the Hospital.

According to Chief District Officer of Makwanpur, Basanta Raj Bhattarai, the accident took place when Devkota was going to Judibela village in Rautahat district from Kathmandu today to visit his parents. RSS
