KATHMANDU:- The first ever drive-in film show kicked off here today. The film show is organized under the 13th Israeli Film Festival, which began with the special screening of the film, ‘A Fish Tale’ directed by Emmanuelle Mayer.
The drive-in film show allows a person wishing to enjoy films with family in their own safe capsule. Anyone who loves film can enjoy this unique experience from his or her own vehicles.
Welcoming guests to the film festival being held at Hotel Soaltee premises, Ambassador of Israel to Nepal Hanan Goder said we are so proud to share today this story on foreign workers and the challenges in Israel, while referring to the inaugural film of the festival that tells the story of an immigrant worker’s family in Israel.
Also speaking at the programme, Chief Guest Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Aley expressed the belief that the film festival would be a milestone in sharing and promoting each other’s culture, language and values.
Sharing that he was working with concerned ministries to introduce the rebate system to make shooting films in Nepal more affordable, Minister Aley invited Israeli film producers and investors to come to Nepal and capture the nation’s amazing beauty in their films.
The films under the festival will be opened for the public on 26 and 27 November.
