KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Finance organized the meeting with the donor agencies today . The representatives of the donor agencies have committed to provide assistance for the reconstruction of the infrastructures damaged by the April 25 earthquake and the subsequent powerful aftershocks. The donor agencies pledged financial, technical and in-kind support, which they say will be provided within the framework outlined by the Post-Disaster National Assessment (PDNA)
Japanese Ambassador, Swiss Ambassador to Nepal, World Bank, European Union, United Nations Organization, USAID and International Monetary Fund (IMF) representatives pledged full support in Nepal’s reconstruction of the historic and public infrastructures. Finance Minister Mahat made a strong commitment that the funds will reach the reach the quake-affected and assured of transparency of its use.
