
KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala, who returned back to the from the United States making short his medical trip to register his name in the voter’s list, registered his name in the voter registration process on Sunday. Koirala reached the office of the Election Commission in the Capital and registered his name in the list.
The Election Commission has given the deadline to register voter’s name with photo till mid-July. The Election Commission also registered the voters in the list during the weekend as the flow of eligible voters to register their name in the list has increased. People got motivated to register their name in the list after they were convinced that the election would take place in November.
Similarly, noted Actor Rajesh Hamal also visited District Election Office on Sunday and registered his name in the voters list. Hamal, who has been promoting the EC campaign for voter registration for months did it one day before the deadline expires.
