KATHMANDU: Nepal Farmers’ Struggle Committee (NFSC), Saptari, has sent a memorandum to the Prime Minister and Minister for Agriculture through the District Administration Office (DAO), Saptari.
A 10-point memo demanded that 40 per cent amount of the total budget should be invested into agricultural sector, loan should be provided to farmers at five per cent interest rate, and a constitutional Nepal Farmers’ Foundation should be formed, among others.
The memo signed by Saptari coordinator of the struggle Committee, Chandeshwor Yadav, has warned of organizing a chhakajam on 15 th July if the demands are not fulfilled. RSS
