N24, KATHMANDU: There are forty seven days to go before the constituent assembly runs out of its last term. It has rattled off farcial approach after denouement that constitution was being “Made in India”.
All this while the country was bleeding with insouciant politicians making merry on public money while the constitution drafting became political issue.
With all that behind, here is former prime minister Jhalanath Khanal coming up with umpteenth farcial tool: calling people up and talking to them on phone!
He has started with talking to party workers in Solukhumbu. There is a press release issued that reads he talked with party workers and they are dead against any ready made constitution.
“Any constitution drafted in a dark chamber will be out rightly rejected by the people.” Than of course there is Kamal Thapa who has talked of “remote control”
coming into use unchanged. Maoists leader C. P. Gajurel too subscribes to this view and candidly says that the new constitution would be imposed by Delhi.
