KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has said that result in education sector should be obtained as per the investment of the state and parents.
At a programme organised in the President House on Sunday, President Bhandari said that special attention should be paid for the personality development of children from the very basic level for the making of a violent-free society by implementing the concept of ‘education for all’. Saying that the school, teachers and parents have a vital role in the personality development of schoolchildren, Bhandari called for schools and social organisations for their contributions in the capacity building of children. “The government agencies should take a lead and facilitate for this process,” she added
Stating that there were sufficient policies and programmes, and laws for providing quality education in the country, the President hoped that good results could be achieved through the effective implementation of such provisions. Also speaking at the programme, Minister for Education, Science and Technology Krishna Gopal Shrestha pledged to include the recommendations in the government’s programmes and implement them. Minister Shrestha said that the government was proactive to ensure timely changes in the fundamental structures of the community and institution schools.
