Ex-Joint Secretary Rajbhandari convicted on corruption charge


KATHMANDU:
Special Court on Tuesday has slapped one year jail term with the fine of 20 million rupees to former Joint Secretary Sabitri Rajbhandari. The court has also directed to confiscate further 20 million with Rajbhandari for amassing huge properties illegally. The division bench of Special Court Chairman Gauri Bahadur Karki and members Om Prakash Mishra and Kedar Prasad Chalise delivered the verdict of one year imprisonment
She was charged of corruption since 2062BS. Rajbhandari was unable to disclose the legal sources of income.
