Nabin Pokharel / LONDON: Many entrepreneurs have expressed their enthusiasm to invest in the Net Airways, which has been trying to operate direct air link between Kathmnandu and London. The airline has received permission for operating in nine cities of eight countries.
A Nepalese company Alpine Air will be operated through Net Airways. Managing Director of Net Airways Bikram Joshi has informed that many entrepreneurs have shown interest for investment from America, Australia and Nepal. He informed that ten Board of Directors have already been appointed in London while five more will be appointed later. Similarly, a Board of Directors comprising 11 members will be formed in Nepal. He informed that 40 entrepreneurs have already expressed commitment for investing from Nepal.
As per the provision a person can have promoter share by investing 25 thousand pound while a person can receive general share by investing one thousand pound. The promoters are planning to collect 500 million rupees for operating the plane. Joshi informed that operation of the airlines will contributed for development of tourism and also contribute for Nepali Economy as there is no flag carrier of Nepal in London.
“We have started the project with the view of making the country prosperous rather than blaming the leaders for the sorry state of the country,” Joshi added. He also informed that the root is profitable as thousands of tourists and Nepali people have been flying from European Countries.
Net Airways received permission to fly to Baharain, Bangkok, Dhaka, Doha, Gwanjou, Kuwalalampur and Kongkong. He also informed that the process for submitting application for London route is ongoing. He also requested to contact him directly to all interested persons, who want to invest in the venture.
