By Baba Rajeshwari Thapa, VIENNA:- Entrepreneur and social activist Mahanta Shrestha, who has been doing business in London, UK for a long time, has been appointed as Tourism Envoy to the UK. The Nepal Tourism Board has appointed him as an honorary public relations representative for the next two years. Chairman of the Board Dr. Dhananjaya Regmi congratulated Shrestha on his successful tenure and expressed hope that he would contribute to Nepal’s tourism sector.
After being appointed as the long-vacant British Tourism Envoy, Shrestha said that he would help in sending tourists from the UK to Nepal and make Nepal more recognizable. He also said that he would coordinate with the Nepalese Embassy in the UK and other organizations to visit Nepal from London.
Shrestha, who runs a Montage restaurant in Ealing, south of London, is also the founding president of NRNA UK.
