Ending parliament session unfortunate: Nepali Congress
KATHMANDU:- The main opposition Nepali Congress has said that the sudden ending of the ongoing session of the federal parliament was unfortunate, as many important bills including the resolution to face the challenges brought about by Corona Virus and MCC were under consideration.
The main opposition was not consulted neither was any prior notice given, says a statement issued by NC spokesperson Biswa Prakash Sharma. “It is not only sad, but condemnable that the ill-effect of the dispute within the ruling party has impacted the parliament session.”
The entire parliament should have come up with a common approach and a better strategy to address the COVID-19 pandemic that has killed many and infected thousands in the country. But the hassled ending of the ongoing session shed lights on the government’s profound ignorance towards the situation.
“The Nepali Congress expresses its disagreement towards the hurried ending of the federal parliament session, as it questions the Prime Minister whether people’s life is more important or the politics of power,” adds the statement.
