By N24 Staff Writer, KATHMANDU:- Deputy Prime Minister Ishwor Pokhrel has said that the next federal parliamentary election will be held in time in April-May 2021 as per the announcement of the government on December 20, 2021.
Addressing an event of frontline cadres of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) supporting PM KP Sharma Oli’s faction in Sindhupalchowk, DPM Pokhrel said nobody should be scared of election and facing the people in a democratic system.
“Comrades Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Madhav Kumar Nepal are trying to run away from election. They do not have trust on people. Otherwise, there should be no doubt about braving the election,” DPM Pokhrel said.
On the question of whether NCP will be united again, DPM Pokhrel said the onus lies on Prachanda and Nepal as to how serious they are for party unity.
“If Prachanda corrects all his mistakes and regrets his misdeeds, the party may be united again. By creating groups and sub-groups inside the party, they have already made the mockery of NCP. Still, I believe that party unity is possible, if all sides work seriously to this end,” DPM Pokhrel said.
