N24 Correspondent, KATHMANDU:- The Election Commission has decided not to recognize the separate decisions made by the two factions of the ruling Nepal Communist Party, (NCP).

A meeting of the commission held on Sunday concluded that the claims of both were not met.

According to the Election Commission, the commission has decided not to recognize the decisions made by the Prachanda-Madhav and the Oli faction.

Immediately after the dissolution of the parliament, the Prachanda-Madhav faction had decided to remove KP Sharma Oli from the post of party chairman and make Madhav Kumar Nepal the party chairman.

The Oli faction had expanded the central committee. Both factions had urged the commission to give legitimacy to the same details. But the commission has ruled that both claims have not been met.

At the same time, the ruling Nepal Communist Party, (NCP) will be legally considered as one. Chairman KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal are Prachanda while the Central Committee will remain in place only when the party is registered.

According to the Election Commission, only the Central Committee comprising Chairman KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has been recognized by the Election Commission and it has decided not to recognize the separate decisions made by both the factions.
