Elderly women burned to death


LAMJUNG: An elderly woman died when a sheep pen caught fire in a mountain pasture region at Banjhakhet VDC-3 in Lamjung district.

The victim is 65-year-old Makarashi Gurung. Forty goats, at least five calves and a number of fowls also perished in the fire, according to Mamata Gurung, a local.

The sheep sty was located at a place called Lwaniswanra, a highland pasture, some two hours’ trek from Banjhakhet. The incident took place on the night of April 26. RSS
