Eight houses looted in Siraha; Three injured in retaliation


SIRAHA : Taking frail law and order situation of the country robbers have looted eight houses at Devipur VDC Ward No. 8 and 9 of Siraha district on Friday night.

A team of 15 robbers looted the valuables from the houses by threatening under gunpoint, while three locals were injured in defense.

According to state run Rastriya Samachar Samiti the houses of local Ram Sewak Yadav, Pasindra Mahato, Raj Lal Mahato, Laxmi Mahato, Rabindra Mahato, Guru Dayal Mahato and Arbinda Mahato were looted.

They looted eight houses in one hour and also exploded bombs while fleeing. Rabindra Mahato, Rameshwor Mahato and Ram Kumar Mahato were critically injured while defending themselves from the looters, said a local Guru Dayal Mahato. The injured are undergoing treatment in a local health post.

Property including cash, ornaments, mobiles and other valuables worth around Rs. one million was robbed, said local Laxmi Mahato. The locals blamed the police for coming late in the site.

DSP Manoj Neupane has said that the detail of the incident is yet to be reported and a police team has been sent.
