KATHMANDU:- Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Padma Kumari Aryal has said the issue of dual ownership on land would be ended soon.
Addressing a first meeting of the Commission for Resolving Land Problems here today, Minister Aryal argued that such disputes would be addressed by ensuring equal distribution of land on consent among the conflicting parties. “If the disputed parties do not agree upon, the State would take necessary actions”.
She further asserted if land ownership related disputes were not resolved at local level the State would intervene with the issue through drafting of new laws.
Minister Aryal directed the office bearers of the commission to work hard to resolve the problems that has been existed since long. She also argued that the concept of the land bank was taken ahead to permanently resolve the issue by adopting an effective land use policy.
