Kathmandu: Maoist leadership has called all central level leaders for discussing strategies to face or counter the protest announced by the hardliner faction of the party.
Chairman Puspa Kamal Dahal and Vice Chairman Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai have called on all the leaders for a joint meeting at Dahal residence in the capital on Sunday.
A source near the party said that meeting was called after Bhattarai and Dahal discussed the threats and protest programs announced by the hardliner faction of the party on Saturday.
He further claimed that the meeting will come up with some counter strategies primarily aiming at normalizing the hardliners and secondarily at facing the protests.
In its press meet the hardliners have also warned to launch stern protests if the party leadership tried to suppress their protest.
Mid-liners within the party have claimed that the rift management will solely depend on how the leadership will address the hardliners concerns.
