Doti jeep accident toll reaches 11


DOTI: Toll of people loosing their lives in the Doti district has reached 11 by evening today.  A passenger jeep, Na 1 Ja 3261 had skidded off the road in Khirsaini-3 on Wednesday morning. Other 22 are seriously injured in the accident and undergoing treatment at the Doti Hospital.

Gauri Devi Khadka (35) of Gairagau-3, Tulsi Bohara and Khim Bohara of the same VDC,  Gyanu Bista (35) of Banlek VDC, Tek Bahadur Thakula, Junu Bista of the same VDC. Similarly Riya Bogati (2) of Kandamandu VDC, Pata Bhandari of Gaajari-9, and Bhagrathi Air of Khirsain VDC.

Identity of the two deceased is not ascertained so far. Police officials claimed that the accident was triggered after the jeep overturned due to overload.
The vehicle had plunged three hundred meters down the ravine and shattered the whole vehicle.
