    Don Parshuram Basnet released after depositing bail

    KATHMANDU: Notorious don Parshuram Basnet, Who is also the leader of Youth wing of CPN-UML, released on bail on Tuesday after depositing bond equivalent to 20 million rupees.

    The Special Court sought the bail under money laundering case. The Court on June 10 had sought the bail on charge of money laundering and amassing properties through illegal means.

    He was sent to the jail after failing to post the bail. According to Source at the Special Court Basnet deposited two plots of land in Bhaktapur today. The plots are registered in the name of Jit Bahadur Lama and Jit Bahadur Khatri in Bhaktapur. Basnet walked out from the jail on a general date for August 1.

    Such dons have been creating terror in the public on the political protection. Another don close to CPN-UML leader K.P. Sharma, Dinesh Adhikari alias Chari, was shot at by unidentified persons in Kathmandu Friday night.
