Dhakal elected president of World Hindu Federation-UK


Chiran Sharma, London: Senior social activist Chiranjivi Dhakal has been unanimously elected to the presidency of Worl Hindu Federation-UK chapter.

Dhakal was elected for the responsibility by the general assembly of the organization here on Sunday.

Along with Dhakal, the assembly has elected Mahant Bahadur Shrestha (Senior Vice President), Gopal Manandhar, Govind Nepal(vice presidents), Balmukund Joshi (General Secretary), Sudarashan Naapit (Deputy General Secretary), Dr. Binod Babu Dhungana (Secretary), Shiv Sainju (Treasurer), and Rajan Dev Pandey (Co-treasurer), and members Bimla Shrestha, Anand Raj Acharya, Man Tandon, Acharya Durga Prasad Pokhrel, Bimla Thapa, Mohan Dev Manadhar, Sabita Manandhar, Surya Prasad Upadhay.

Similarly the assembly has nominated nepal’s ambassador to United Kingdom, Suresh Chandra Chalishe as the patron of the organization and Dhurva KC and Bijay as advisor to the organization.

Newly elected President Dhakal has been residing in the UK for the past 24 years.

Prior to it he has served as central co-secretary of NRN-ICC and is one of the most popular social activist in UK.
