Talking to reporters at Tribhuvan International Airport Deuba said, “The fresh Constituent Assembly elections would make the people sovereign. So let’s have elections.”
Deuba said he would hold talks with the disgruntled parties including Mohan Baidhya-led CPN Maoist and Upendra Yadav-led Madheshi Janaadhikar Forum.
During his stay in the Indian Capital New Delhi he held series of meetings with Indian leaders including the president of the United Progressive Alliance, Sonia Gandhi, Indian Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and Minister for External Affairs Salman Khursid among others. Deuba received very warm welcome in India. According to sources India, which has been playing in the internal affairs of the country, has presented Deuba as the next Prime Minister of the Coutry by offering warm welcome.
Deuba said he urged India to extend logistical support for elections apart from the assistance for the construction of fast-track road to connect Kathmandu to Tarai and bridge over the Karnali river. The NC leader was accompanied by his spouse Arzoo and leader Bimalendra Nidhi.
Meanwhile, senior leader of the CPN-UML KP Sharma Oli has left for Delhi this afternoon on a-four day visit. Talking to reporters at airport, leader Oli said that his visit would be purely personal as he is visiting India for his health check-up.
