Deceitful Acts And Tantrums Won’t Save NCP: PM Oli Retorts To Prachanda

By N24 Staff Writer, KATHMANDU:- Prime Minister and Nepal Communist Party (NCP) chairperson KP Sharma Oli has said that the deceitful acts and tantrums of his party co-chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” is not going to save the party unity.

Addressing the NCP’s secretariat meeting on Wednesday, November 18, 2020, PM Oli called upon Prachanda to shun his ill motives and acts, and work towards party unity.

“Prachanda’s political report earlier presented in the party has only placed false allegations on me. I cannot anymore tolerate such baseless allegations,” PM Oli said.

“Prachanda’s political report has conspired to terminate my political career. His report is a baseless chargesheet that targets me and my political career,” he said.

PM Oli said it is better to have just one chair in the party amid the flood of false allegations from Prachanda and his faction.

“Our party is in a very complicated mode now. Two chairperson system of our party is also to be blamed for this. It should be either me or Prachanada as the party chairperson. Two persons cannot be the party chair at the same time,” PM Oli said.

On the question of whether he is in minority within the party, PM Oli said he will not subscribe to what has been publicized outside.

“It has to be done formally. Until there is a formal clarity on who is in minority or majority, I don’t agree that I am in minority,” PM Oli said.

In response to Prachanda’s political report, PM Oli is expected to present his own political report in the next NCP secretariat meeting after nine days.
