DDC Saptari go on strike protesting LDO’s behavior


SAPTARI: Employees of the District Development Committee (DDC), Saptari have been agitated alleging that the Local Development Officer there has worked to fuel animosity among them rather than being serious in addressing their demands.

The DDC employees have accused the Saptari District Local Development Officer, Krishna Sapkota of turning a deaf ear towards addressing their nine-point demands.

Among others, the employees have demanded to make the details of the expenditure and income of the internal and external sources under every heading of the DDC public each month at the information centre.

The employees have formed a struggle committee to launching a movement until their demands were met. They have been working by tying black straps on their arms as a mark of protest and have also warned of more stringent strike action if their demands are not met. RSS
