LALITPUR:- Lalitpur District Administration Office on Thursday announced a curfew order in Lalitpur Metropolitan City inside the ring road area from 4 am to 10 pm on Friday.
After the clash between the Locals and the police, locals who were furious for postponing the chariot procession time and again by the government, defying the orders started pulling chariot despite the prohibitory order in Lalitpur and police who were trying to stop the mass gathering and maintain the prohibitory order to control the coronavirus outbreak.
Communication officer at Lalitpur District Administration Lalit Kumar Basnet said curfew has been imposed to avoid the mass gathering of crowd raising the risk of COVID-19 infection.
The curfew order was issued quite late on Thursday night, Chief District Officer Narayan Prasad Bhatta has warned of shooting at the locals who defy the order.
