CPN (Unified Socialist) to allow MCC tabling in parliament

KATHMANDU:- The CPN (Unified Socialist) has decided to allow the tabling of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact theoretically in the House of Representatives for deliberation.
A meeting of party’s politburo members on Saturday chaired by party chairperson Madhav Kumar Nepal took a decision to allow the presentation of the agreement in the lower house only for deliberation, said party chief whip and secretary Jiban Ram Shrestha, adding that it would not however allow its passage in its present status. Senior leader Jhalanath Khanal was also present in the meeting.
The CPN (Unified Socialist) has been demanding amendment of some points in the compact.
