CPN-Maoist Central Committee decides to expel those who have left the party

N24 Correspondent, KATHMANDU:- The CPN-Maoist Center has formally decided to expel the local level people’s representatives and central members who have changed parties.

An emergency meeting of the Central Committee held on Monday through virtual method has formalized the decision to expel him from the party.

There are 14 people’s representatives who won the election from the UCPN (M) and later joined the UML.

Earlier, a meeting of the Central Committee of the UCPN (M) had given Chairman Prachanda the right to take action against those who left the party.

According to the same authority, the Maoist center had informed the Election Commission about the action.

However, the commission did not issue a notice of resignation saying that the meeting of the Central Committee had not decided on the action.

Central member Yuvaraj Dulal Sharad, who participated in the Central Committee meeting from Melamchi, said that the decision to expel the local level people’s representatives and central members from the party has been formalized.

UCPN (M) leader Dev Gurung said that it was decided to take action against those who had changed their party.

On Sunday, the UCPN (Maoist) leaders met the commission officials and drew their attention to the issue, saying that the Election Commission had not published the information about the expelled leaders.
