BHOJPUR: Cadres of CPN-Maoist, a breakaway faction of UCPN-Maoist, have started property capture drive in different parts of the country. The CPN-Maoist captured the property of Central Committee member of UCPN-Maoist Ninu Chapagain, in Dingla of Bhajpur district.
Issuing a press statement UCPN-Maoist expressed strong reservation over the act and urged the party to immediately return the captured the land. It is learnt that UCPN-Maoist Bhojpur District Committee held a three day long meeting on Gupteshwor VDC to initiate efforts for returning the land from the control of the break-away faction. The meeting learnt to have discussed possible action if the land was not returned through peaceful means.
The party has urged the break-away faction to resolve the issue through peaceful means and also warned that the party would be responsible from the action if it did not agree on peaceful means. District Coordinator of the party Ram Kumar Rai informed that the party has decided to boycott all the programs attended by Baidya faction as the party is moving towards illegal way.
Other sides of the district have taken the issue by surprise as CPN-Maoist has captured the land of UCPN-Maoist itself. The UCPN-Maoist, which had captured land of various people during the period of armed insurgency, has been facing similar fate.
The party has been warning that they would go for revolution and have been expressing strong reservation over the move of four political parties to hold the elections of the constituent assembly by Chief Justice Khil Raj Regmi led government. The party along with 32 other fringe parties has been announcing various protest programs against the CJ led government and also the elections of the constituent assembly. The party also turned down talks offer by the incumbent government saying the CJ led government is the brain-child of foreigners.
